Well apparently my 67 f100 came with a 352 and the owner swapped it out to a 429 and it looks like it was done without any modifications. So maybe you can just drop it in there.

Join this site and you'll get a lot of help with that f100 http://www.fordification.com/
but use this site for your engine needs since it is more focused on the 429-460.

I thought you just need the correct motor mounts and frame stands (not sure if that is the correct name).

THE 400/351M TRANS WILL BOLT RIGHT UP,you will need a 460 flexplate, does it have 352/390fe frame horns? converter pilot will need to be checked to see it it fits crank, some will.

351m/400 starter bolts right on
rad necks will be in right spot

if its 2wd stock front sump will be fine
4wd you will need a rear sump
i have used a front sump in 73 to 79 4x4,but its close

351/400m conversion to 460 Empty FE/385

Post  LivermoreDave February 16th 2010, 8:57 am

You can use the FE mounts as part of the 385 installation. Position the FE mount on the 385 block. There will be one (1) hole in the mount that will align with the block. Mark the other block hole's position on the FE mount and drill it! Walleye! You have a mount! Or, fab a "solid" mount using the frame portion of your existing mount and fabbing to the block's dimensions.

Happy motoring,
Dave.
