Ryan Giacone called Friday (19th)

Post  c.evans on February 21st 2010, 10:30 am

He's racing in the NHRA show at Phoenix and having a good weekend. Very Happy He's running 150 mph with throttle stop, and ported SCJ heads, along with several other parts from Lem. We need to get him from the old board over to here, Very Happy and he need's to tell us more about his combo. Can't expect me to remember everything. Rolling Eyes

I just joined this site and saw this old thread. I just turned the car loose last weekend for the first time with this engine. It went 8.78 at 156 mph at 2850 lbs. I have 400 pounds of lead in the car to make weight for Super Street so 8.40's is possible. The runs were made in Phoenix with and adjusted altitude of 3000' that day.

I think this is the engine that was posted in the other forum that made 998 on a dyno?

Jon,

Yes sir, you're correct. The dyno probably is "happy", but Ryan's point was that he made a bunch more power. He had previously dynoed his old engine on that dyno also. My point is that running 150 or 150+ mph on a throttle stop Ford door car in NHRA Super Street at national events is pretty cool. He's carrying the colors for us.
