How far can you go for a regular block?

Most stock(oem) blocks will sonic check good for a 4.440 bore. Which is .080 over stock.

good ones will typicaly go .080, some really good ones and boss stuff will go to 4.600 some times

If they do not go the typicaly .080 one would be screwed....A guy would be better severed to do a 30/40/60 deal...i.m.o.

thanks for the help. Its just that I have seen pistons for sale that are 4.640 so I had to step back for a moment and wonder how they can go that far. They are probably aftermarket blocks though, maybe ones without water jackets too.

The A460 can usually go to 4.600" and a premier Eliminator will go 4.700"
