I am buying my daughter as her first car a 90 hatchback 4 banger that has. Been sitting for 5 years .the. tranny is a automatic should I do anything special to it other just a fluid and filter change? Car has a 150,000 miles. The tranny worriees me

My daughter's 93 trans worked great till it started pouring fluid out the front seal. Surprised I had Fordtek1 fix it, and since he had it out, he rebuilt it for peace of mind. I would be concerned about the 5 year old gas. That can damage some stuff.

I planned on pulling tank down washing it out and. Clean out the fuel lines just wonder if anyone had info on tranny
