Valve spring ? Empty Valve spring ?

Do you know of a good single spring that will handle my 560 lift cam its a comp flat hyd 292 magnum 244@.050-560 lift the heads are 68 c8ve-e with 219-173 milodon valves on a 472'' I looked at single springs that rate for way more lift than i have but wondered if you guys have a part# for some singles that i can put on with this cam so i dont have to machine the heads to use the dual springs comp calls for with this cam.

Well springs will be here Friday, and along with putting them in the converters going in at the same time also its a hughs 4000 competition, i cant wait to see the diffrence compared to the wornout wrong springs and the tci 11'' breakaway that i cant footbrake over 1500 which gave me a best of 10.57 @128 mph and a 1.48 60'.

Valve spring ? Empty Re: Valve spring ?

Well i never did get to try the new valvesprings i bought that randy recomended because when i got to the 4th one i noticed the upper edge of the notch in the valve stem where the lock locks into was mushroomed out and up a bit( i guess it was ready to drop a valve ? ) Well i pulled the motor out yesterday and pulled the heads today so i can replace the valves and finaly do the victor portmatch on them. What i did find is i probley didnt need to put racegas in it for the last two years cause it dosent have flattops with the 4 eyebrows like i was told instead it has trw 2404 dish pistons so i wonder what my compression has been all this time ? its a 70 dove-a block .060 with the A cast in the driver front side the heads are ported c8ve-e with 2.19-1.73 valves and the #1 piston was .020 in the hole i didnt measure the rest yet. When i did a compression test they were all 193 to 195 psi i thought that would be somewhat high compression maybe i was wrong any ideas? shaved heads maybe or is that a normal psi with that setup using a comp flat hyd 292 cam (244@.050-560 lift) ?

I decided last nite that i'm shipping the heads to the mad porter this week for a RHP tweakin and a custom cam from him as well and if i need to change the pistons for more compression i will.
