Any of our vendors sell MSD parts?

I had the little lock nut that is used to lock out the timing come loose today. It broke one tooth of the reluctor, got between the cap and rotor and really tore some stuff up. Anyone carry replacement MSD stuff. By the time I by these pieces should I just get a new distributor? Thought I'd check here before calling Summit or Jegs.

they are, msd wants like 50.00, orilleys fit my msd and it was like 5.00

I was wondering that myself. They looked identical to the Duraspark ones. I'll give that a try. Thanks for the great offer Bruno but let me see if I can get a new one. I don't want to use up your spare parts.

Anyone know what year distributor is the same? I picked one up for a 79 460 and it was different. It was the only one O'Reilly had so I thought I would try it. It doesn't have the shoulder welded to it like the MSD.

I'm confused now because the reluctor on MSD's website looks just like the one I bought from O'Reilly. My reluctor looks almost the same except it has a 1/2 spacer tig welded to the top of it. I have a part number 8580 dist. that I bought around 1995 or 96. I wonder if they changed them since then.

Yeah. If your luck is like mine, they changed it right after yours went out the door.
