the positioning of the header bolts is a freaking moron!

I cant get a damn bolt on every other hole thanks to how tight the tubes are to the header bolt hole.....

now i get to ding up a nice looking set of headers!

i tried different bolts, no help!

i tried socket head bolts, but cant get a tool on it

i tried studs, but cant get a nut on then,,,,,,

taking a little break then to try again with a clear head

you have header bolts = 3/8 nc use 7/16 wrench. 3/8 bolt with 9/16 wrench size -- can see why your having trouble

They make a header stud 3/8x5/16 so you can use a 3/8 bolt hope that helps...

Put the hard ones first leave them real loose, and take all them in each a turn at a time.

I have a 7/16ths wrench ground down so you can almost see through it. I put a set of headers on my 1979 F150 a few months ago and wasn't surprised to see nothing has changed since I last put a set on a truck back in the late '70's. Still had to notch the frame to get them in and still had to struggle and cuss. The collectors are better though - they finally figured out the flat triangle flange thing was a FAIL

There is also a bolt that has 3/8 std thread with a 12 pt head to use a 5/16 12 point socket or wrench.
