This sucks!!!!

Fired the car today & you can hear a howling noise coming from the glide, could this be the pump? The noise is louder inside the car.

does it have straight cut gears?

And does it still do it when put in gear?

It's alittle bit of a binding sound,slight vibration. not streight cuts. I'm at a loss Mad

What did you have for converter clearance? Needs to be 1/8" min to 3/16" max. Measure by pushing converter back into pump and then see distance from mount pads to plate. Any less and it pushes the drive gear into the stator half of the pump and eats it alive. Any more lets the drive gear ride up on the converter neck and you can also cause it to push back into the stator half or tear up the pump gear drive tangs.

It pulled out 3/16 with a micro, the adapter bushing is really tight on the pilot.
