Locking dipstick

Post  514Fox87 on May 4th 2010, 8:36 am

After going through tech this weekend I was told I need a locking dipstick for the tranny. Lokar doesn't make one I checked with their tech. I need one for a pan filled C-4. What are you guys doing to fix this problem?

just get a 90's-early 2000 style GM dipstick that is locking from a junkyard and cut it to length. I did that on my old C4 tranny that another guy bought and is currently running in a bracket car and it passes NHRA national event tech.

but the one above looks good too.

I also use a bte locking dipstick on my c4. Hard to beat that price. It even has an o-ring at the bottom

I wish I'd thought of that! I've got a Hughes for $59 from Jegs, but it looks the same as the GM factory dipsticks. Finding a GM dipstick and recutting it to fit might be a cheap and fast alternative.
