Benton Missouri Dragstrip

Does anyone know what the story is with the dragstrip in Benton Missouri? I heard someone at Gateway the other night say something about the track being open for business, but the website has a discontinued phone number and a 2008 schedule posted. I heard Mr Mayfield that used to run sikeston is running another track , but I think its in springfield mo.
