Slight miss or hesitation at cruise

I have changed from a 700 lift roller cam to a much more mild hyd flat tappet cam for the rest of the season. (a lifter broke and hurt the cam a little) I had this cam so thought I better use it as this winter I am going to make a few changes. Took it out for a short drive yesterday and during cruise at about 2500 to 3000 rpm in high gear it seems to have a slight miss or hesitation. Its hard to tell. Under full or part throttle it works fine. Could it be jetting or something else? It has a fixed distributer full advance set at 34 degrees. I use a crank trigger. I may not need to address this as the cruiseing season is coming to an end in a month or so but still I am curiious and maybe I can learn something in the process.
