I thought the same thing. Maybe the gas tank ruptured and something ignited it? How do you not know your going the wrong way? The guy in the firebird, well MAYBE his brakes went out and the throttle stuck, it looked like the prius edition He got some air time that's for sure

Diesel fuel does not explode like that unless it is heated to a high temp or has an accelerant like gasoline, etc. One could speculate from now on and still not know. Wonder if he was cooking his product while on the move, and that is what blew?

The truck driver was on an overpass so he would have landed about 20' below the road so you wouldn't be able to see what he ended up like.

My friend is a truck driver local to dayton everyday from columbus. he said the marks from that car are on the bottm of the bridge and the top of the pillars. and dude is stil alive.

I did something similar to that once... luckily I just hit a power pole and I was going fast enough to shear it off. no more mustangs for me for a while...

It looks like he goes off to the left, judging by the dust. I can only imagine how the car looked after that and how much his stomach dropped when he got in the air.

When the video slows down you can see the car spin left and go sideways with the undercarriage hitting the underside of the bridge just behind the front seats. For that car to disintegrate like that he HAD to have been doing at least 130-140, which even the v6/5speed cars are capable of doing. Thankfuly (for him anyhow) the fuel tank didn't rupture or land near the front of the car or it would have gone up in flames.
