If it can be confirmed that your problem is indeed related to too much oil in the valve cover area I would suggest working on restricting the flow to the top end so that oil stays where it belongs. I ran drain back hoses like that on my old Cleveland for a while with mixed results. In some other posts I have seen a lot of discussion about oil pan design, oil foaming, and windage creating problems in the pickup area. I would be inclined to investigate those possibillities as well.

Eric check and make sure that your oil return holes are open in the front and the rear of the head to the Block, some gaskets cover them slightly and make oil return slow.....

it's an svo block it started doing it when i put the new top end on it heads, intake, rockers, push rods, lifters. i never had a problem with the old blue thunder b heads and all the old parts?? i was also told that i could buy push rods with a smaller hole to help keep the oil in the bottom?? thanks eric

I'm sure you've checked this, but are the lifter oil holes properly oriented? Idea

i have no idea if thats your oil problem or not but yes you can run the retun lines down from the back of the heads i had to do this on my c heads with the c@c block because the return holes dont match up the blocks where made for hemi head oil return. brad
