It's a spray on graphite, used for engine break in.

Does it help?

I really could not give a qualified answer, other than the guy I used to work for at a Detroit Diesel shop insisted on using it on all rebuilds (Spray on crank journals, cams, and all bearings for break in period). Its just a dry moly film similar to moly paste for preassembly.

Extra insurance doesn't hurt. (I know, I know, also use glue on the water passages!)

not sure about all the fancy sprays, a little engine oil for assy, I do like to "glue" the intake gaskets at the water port and a few dabs here and there to tack in on good....don't get crazy with it......the yellow trim adhesive works great..............a thin and I mean thin smear on water port on the intake side right before assy dont hurt either. TA31 is my "silicon" of choice..........awesome stuff and its free........... Wink

Yea I meant the silicone when I said glue, my old boss would swear by the spray moly, so I thought why not...
