Post  bruno September 8th 2010, 5:30 pm

So i went to the local Ford dealership and asked to test drive a 2011 f250 w/ a 6.2 ....humm it has the same towing capacity as my 6.0l deisel .... has any of you guys heard any feed back yet from these units, fuel milage, how well does it tow 10,000 - 12,000 lbs, etc ...... ? also its a 2011 w/ 365 miles xlt, and sync they are asking 32,000 ..... how much wiggle room do you think these guys have on this ?

Post  Diggindeeper September 8th 2010, 5:37 pm

i've only heard from one guy who was impressed with it, he said mileage was reasonable and power was good. He wuz a chevy guy but i got a feeling he has this truck cause no one else wanted his business. Laughing

I went to test drive one on saturday. There was not one superduty on the local ford stealerships lot..not even a diesel. Lots of half tons though...... so i've yet to test them out.

yep and costs how much less to buy, maintain and fix if it does break? Problem is everyone wants to wave their cock around an have the biggest baddest truck....... When 95% never use it anyway..... So what the point in spending $45k+ to tow a race car trailer a dozen times a year????

I didnt spend 45k on my rig............I did get it to replace the gasser I had that gave me a white knuckle ride to the track the first time I pulled my new 24' enclosed trailer.

Besides you bitchin' at the wrong guy about the price..........I agree they cost too damn much as it is.

There is something more of a residual value to be had in the 6.2, so the $7000. is not entirely wasted. Not looking to get slammed, just another view. I have found this out after looking for a good used diesel. They still can cost a boatload. It seems that the upfront cost comes back around at resale.

thanks,
Gordon

that's my point and Lem does make sence, if you got money to burn ok, but me I'd rather have other stuff and I don't mind only towing at the speed limit.

Slam you big boy no way I can Laughing ...... Yes, one will get additional resale value.....my point is...the additional debt [$7,000] will have to be serviced by a higher payment. 5 years later...with interest...what did the $7,000 really cost?
