camshaft question

I am wondering what is the best way to choose a camshaft for a engine. I know that this is not a easy question to answer but I want to know the right or best way to do this.

Call someone like Randy Malick, Lem Evans, Dave Mcclain, Etc (their are alot of decent builders on here) and tell the what you have and what you want to do with it and they will hook you up with the right cam and components to get-r-done.
