Tourque Steps for BBF Aluminum Head

Does anybody know the tourqe specs for a BBF with alumium head i know what bolts to tighten first and last just need the

20 ft pounds first

140
etc

On my Blue Thunder and TFS A460's I've just used 3 steps and never a problem. I also let them sit overnight after the first torque down then go back the next day and loosen then torque them one at time back to the 140.

X2,,,,,,or retorque them after they have "seen" heat.

that's what we do with our MLS stuff. get the engine warm, let it cool off, re-torque.

on our ten bolt deals w/ 3 kits we torque them to 150 plus w/ the cometic's never any problems in this camp

but aluminum heads with arp studs same process ??

The torque value will be the same but you will get a more accurate reading because your not twisting the shank like you are with a bolt and the finer threads.

Same. I did it in three steps. Inner to outer, with the ARP lube. I used studs as well.
