Fuel system set up ?

Post  whitefield on August 27th 2009, 11:17 am

What are the advanages or disadvantages of a returnable fuel system. Is this set up better than a non returnable?
I think I ask this the right way. Thanks Whitey

Way Fast Whitey,

Return system is always better and it keeps the fuel cooler however there's nothing wrong with a dead head if your pump has a bypass. Your mallory 140 does and for the record both of my mallory pumps have returns.

"They" say 7.5 to 8

When I turn on both of my pumps it jumps up to 9psi and after the pumps "warm up" it drops down to 8psi. 7.5 to 8psi warm will be sufficient. I WAS running this engine with ONLY one Mallory 140 and decided to not chance it and hooked up #2 jocolor

I haven't Graduated to that yet. One Should work fine with mine. I set my fuel PSI to 6 1/2 last night. Should I go on up to 7 1/2?
