About to take the converter plunge Empty About to take the converter plunge

I've been researching converters so much lately I'm cross eyed. I'm planning to order a UCC unit per Lenny's recomendations tomorrow after I confirm my crank pilot hole diam. He says I need one of his 9" ones and set up for 5200 stall. This should be a fairly significant change over my generic TCI 3500. A knowledgable local pal with a very similar combo says I could expect possibly 1/2 sec drop in overall ET. His stuff runs hard na. Makes the chebby guys cry. He said the motor is launching well below peak tq and falling 1000 rpms out of its powerband on the 2 shifts. He also said this new unit should lock up tighter in the top. Regardless, I'm psyched. Cool
