10SHOTS wrote:im thinking theres a converter problem, old motor went 5.66 on a 275 stot. i sent the converter off with the old motor and they said it good (not broken)
Couple of thing I'd do.
1) get it on a dyno and see what you've got and do some tuning.
2) after that get with a reputable convertor guy.

Re: 562 build
What rpm through the traps? 4.11 seems too low for a 29.5 tire.

powerglide is in , new ptc 9.5 converter. waiting for testing, new converter is a bit tighter than the old one, so guess we'll see . i did take to a track saturday that was closed to make a few hits, everthing worked good , electric shift valve body shifts good, used a 7100 chip , may need to shift a little higher . this converter works, car leaves hard but you can feel the converter coupling up ,almost feels like lugging the motor after it gets out a good bit

Track test
track was ok but not working the best. motor pass was 5.91 with the glide .c6 was 5.80 so i know if the converter was more for motor the glide would be faster. i sprayed 225 first pass went a 5.40 @ 129
changed to a 275 shot and i think i pulled a little to much timming out ,went 5.36 @ 130 . if the track was better and i played with the tuning some im sure i can get somewhere in the 5.20s ,time will tell
going to the track 3-10-13 to do some tuning
