external oil pump

rebuilding 810 ci" engine, for 69 F100. just wondering if i could use a 2 stage external oil pump,1 stage for engine & 1 stage for power steering. any idea of psi required for stock power steering sector. street rod only.

Bad idea IMO. I'd want to keep the systems seperated.

Power steering pumps are low volume/high pressure.
