It aint the heat it's the humidity

I don't know if it's me or what but I don't remember it being this miserable. My ass is officially kicked, four days of heat with high humidity with today being the worst. It was 95 with dew points in the 70's, down right tropical. It wasn't as bad if there was a breeze but I work in a corner and the only moving air is from my fan, it was a 3 t shirt 4 Gatorade day. I must be getting old  

97 here today. I cleared brush and sawed wood from 7am to 10:30am. Drank about a gallon of water.

Yep ... last year around here it got near 100 a lot of times but, the humidity and dew points were on the low side for summer. Even though it is NOT as high a temperature now ... it feels a lot worse than that did.

I spray painted an engine block with engine paint which is normally fast drying yesterday morning around 10 o'clock AM. At 7 PM it was still tacky. It rains at least once every day now for almost three weeks. Send all this rain to Nebraska ... they need it.

Oh I feel your pain, it is fricking miserable here as well. I swear it is even worse than last summer with all the humidity! I only got to take one local delivery of cabinets today and was stuck in the warehouse most of the day with very little air movement. My boss was real decent about staying cool and taking it easy though.

Well, they are claiming some relief starting tomorrow and it's heading your way. It's supposed to be really nice on Saturday so I'm going to Car Craft   

I can't wait! I got some yard work to do that been putting off due to the heat.

bout the norm here. it was only a high of 68 sunday but its been a steady climb upward since then.


I see how the 99 degree temps NE have been making the national news...... man those poor people wouldnt survive a normal Oklahoma summer much less the last two we have had lol.

97 yesterday,welded till about 4 PM. the only thing working harder than me was the water fountain. 

Being at Firebird in Arizona for 3 days in 110 plus degree heat didn't feel this bad ... you just had to keep hydrated.

it is 12pm 76* the humidity is at 94% right now

It does feel horrid, and worse than the Carribean coast and I spent considerable time there the last three years. It is 98* about everyday there, but still does not compare.

dry heat is more tolerable, but those dry 114 plus days we had the last 2 summers were just as bad imo.

Typical day here in South Louisiana. That fan doesn't do any good blowing in hot air unless there is another one blowing out the 'other' hot air...

From Florida Gulf Coast and also lived on the Persian gulf coast for a total of about 7 years (Dubai and Muscat)....makes this feel like winter.

Today ... all but 4 states in this whole country were above 90+ degrees and 31 were above 100 somewhere.
