I am in need for a diagram for a 2 stage hook up with the trans break without a timer. I also need a flow guage with the quick disconnect end.

Thanks,

Induction Solution would be the best you could buy but I wanted something a little cheaper. Does anyone make a gauge as good as the one they sell?
Thanks richter69 for your help.

There is plenty of gauges available but by the time you put everything together with fittings, hose, jet adapters, etc your not saving much. I've been down that road and now use Steve's:D

Talked with the people at IS and was told without the case it would be $200 and to add a QD it would be back to $228. I didn't ask about taxes and shipping. There are too many people at the track flowing their systems. There has got to be a better way.

Sure. Use an old FP Gauge (or just a cheap gauge from somewhere), find an old jet fitting, some old hose with the correct 4/6 fitting and there you go. You don't need to have the shut off but it makes it a 1 person job then. Whatever you decide, stay with that method. As long as you compare apple to apples you will stay consistent. If you search Grainger, McMaster Carr, any GOOD hardware place, you will see that an accurate pressure gauge is 60$+. Cheap gauges don't take the "hit" as you turn on the system and they usually bounce all over the place. They aren't as accurate either; remember we deal with .25/lb FP increments here. Or at least I do...

I like to use a digital gauge, be sure to use a snubber also to protect the gauge.

Hey Guys,
I was just checking in while i watch the wife and dogs sleep this evening.. LOL Thanks for the props on our flow tool. i know it seems expensive to many but is a really nice piece and is an important tool to have. Flowing a nitrous system with the same gauge the same way each time can save you a lot of $$ in the long run.. Thanks Geno for going the extra mile..

We have started to try and add some wiring info to our site to try and help guys out. Please take a look at this page and see if it will help you out..

Your feed back is also welcomed too guys.. Thanks again to you all.. SJ

I would like to activate the second stage with a button. Would not want to put it on timers or any other way. Either on or off.

Thanks,
Geno

So just wire the switch in where the timer is.

yellowhorse7 and richter69, please bare with me. I am a jet engine mechanic and not an electrician. The relays that I have all have different colored wires from the same numbered connections. I have saved and scraped to build this motor that only runs 5.74 in the 1/8. I can't beat anyone. I need to be in the 4.90 bracket just to be competitive. I have never ran nitrous in my life and I don't want to blow my motor by hooking up something wrong. There is too much money involved. A NC relay placed where a NO should have been placed may destroy what took me a year to build. PLease help me.

man thats a lot to pick up, a simple plate slapped on is not gonna get you there and prolly tear up some stuff in the process.

need more details on entire build.

The motor is a 532 with super cobra jet heads with extensive work done by Mr. Evans. I ran the motor with those heads and then switched to a set of stock P-51s and the car slowed down. Back to the SCJ heads. Are you saying that I can't drop .8 with an edelbrock victor 2 stage system? It's a D1VE block filled to the water pump holes. Four bolt caps, scat crank.eagle rods and an 801 lift comp cam.

takes a hell of a lot to drop that much at that level, no just in power but chassis wise also.

The car weights 2700 pounds with me and race ready. I bought the glide from STHAZLET with the best stuff that could be put in one. Th rear is a nine inch with 4.56 gears on a 13x31 slick. the car has ran 8.98@ 149.5 MPH in the 1/4. Do I need to contact IS for a fogger?

I leave at 5500 rpm with a 60' of 1.28/ 1.30. The wheelie bars barely touch. What would I get if I could hook this 2 stage to this motor???

I ran some numbers your gonna need to gain approx 450-500 hp.... thats doable with a single direct port from IS......... i have no idea what cam you have, what the heads flow etc.

Imo thats gonna be a lofty goal with your current setup and the parts you have wont live long trying to do it.
