Roll call for 2K14 Ford race..

Thanks to everyone that helped make the event happen.
And thanks to US60 for giving us a place for an all Ford event.


Had a great time at the Bash, even if I did have the slowest vehicle there bracket racing with the Bronco II... Giddy up little horsey...  


Met some more of the boardmembers on here for the first time at US60. That was great.


Brian:  I was sad to see the damage to your Fairmont. That is a georgous car you have.

if anyone has pics post a thread for them , id like to see them sounded like a great time

Nice seeing you there. You may have had the shortest vehicle, but by the smile in your face, you may have had the "longest" fun!

You know, when one is semi-retired and work mostly for yourself, you have to really pick out and choose the places you want to go and how far you want to travel to get there.
I have not had my own race car in 15 years but, I would NOT miss going to this event, every year it is run.

Being just a spectator, to me, it is a great Big Block Ford advocate "get together"and, oh yea, there's a race involved, too.

Id love to make this trip some time from Mass ....it would be a hike but seeing this in your words coming from MICH makes me wanna make the trip.

Not "just a spectator" Randy....
But a great engine builder with lots of experience to share...
I always learn lots from the "bench racing" sessions at the BBF Bash races.

Very impressive running 5.80's !
I wish I had had more time to talk, but I was trying to get in as many runs on the Bronco as I could and get some seat time with it.

I got nervous watching you and the black '57 Chevy run on that heads up race. Just glad both of you did not hit the guardrail.
Randy had already ran 2 hard runs in the right lane but ended up in the left lane after the 330 ft timers, so I was nervous seeing you in the left lane.

Was as always a good time... Even with my race truck issues Friday and Saturday morning... Thanks to all that offered advice, help and encouragement.... Helping fellow ford brothers out with whatever I could is always part of the deal at this event.... Awesome food thanks to Wes and family... Got to meet a few new people from the forum and chat with everybody I met in the past..... Great hospitality from George, Krista, Carl Keown and family... I always hate the drive home but I wouldn't want to miss this event... Had to barter with Gordon to get him to accept money for barely used tires he wanted me to have... The PA bunch are always helpful.... I'm home now and trying to remember everything that happened and this post probably doesn't read very well but it's all a blurr... Really wish more people could have attended this event...

PA got home about 3:30.  A nice easy 7 1/2 hour trip with no problems.  We need to thank GK and his crew for keeping this race going.  Randy M was in rare form this weekend and in some cases this is almost a tech seminar.  The collective knowledge is great.  And the manner in which the information is given freely speaks to the quality of the people involved.  Blake and his crew are always a hoot.  Wes and his family are the best.  I am very proud of JL.  She is a real racer and fine young lady.  I also have to say it was nice to see several guys coming to my rescue when I had an issue at the tree.  And before I got back to the pit, 3 guys, 2 of which I had never met, asked what I needed to get things fixed.  That is the spirit of this deal.  Good food, good friends, and always a good time.

Again thanks to all involved.

Had a great time as well. I could not have imagined how good it would be to get together like this and put faces to forum names. Next time I want to come in with a car that's ready to go instead of working on it so I can talk to my Ford brothers.

Special thanks to Keith Fulp for helping me get into the low 1.30's on a 60ft. When i arrived it would only go 1.45

My brother took some pictures but i dont know how many had other cars. When he posts them to my photobucket I'll put them up. Looking back if I would have asked him to shoot as many as he could of everyone else he would have done it.

Just sitting around this morning at the corporate office of Dan Hobbs Racing, drinking coffee and thinking about our race.
As a group, we should plan how to crank this thing up for next year.
A rough count looked like we had about 20 cars.
US60 is not a fancy National Event track, but one that you can spend as much time as needed to test, play or just sit back and tell stories.
You can't beat the atmosphere from the track crew to the local racers and spectators.
Scheduling is tough and lots of races are happening.
Maybe we need to have one in another part of the country later in the year?
Just thinking....
Here is an example of the fun. My tires were shot, so I gave them one more....
