Source to build my 460
I want to have the 460 in my 1976 F350 rebuilt with a goal of 475 to 500 HP. I want to use my engine as the basis, since I'm the original owner and I know it has been treated "kindly" for all of its 70K miles. I really haven't been able to find anyone here in Northern VA to do the work. I have communicated with Tim Barnett (Barnett Performance), and we've discussed doing the work on my engine. I would like to know if any of you have dealt with Barnett Performance and/or can give me some info on them. Thanks

I can't tell you much about Barnett. I've heard the name is about it, but Blake Cartwright in TN would definitely hook you up.

As Schmitty said with Blake, there are several top knotch builders on this site that will get you what you want and need, but if you insist on staying local give lee Day a call at MAD Engineering in Warrenton Va. I have never used him but I know he builds some nasty pulling engines for guys in that area. Uncle Charlie knows him pretty well I believe.-A
