Custom oil pan- gasket or silicone?
Hey all, did some mock up today. Worked on checking pump clearance and oil pickup height. All was good just had to egg out the pickup support mounting tab a little. But what I was wondering is do I use a pan gasket or just silicone. The pan is a custom aluminum unit from Lem. It lays pretty flat on block rails, maybe .015/.020 away at the front of the block rails. Where the end seals go it about .040 clearance on rear main cap and timing cover. What would you all use. Don't want to warp pan rails. Thanks cory

Thanks norm, that's what I thought. It's a big ass pan, it's the same style as what Lem posted in the for sale section. Thanks again cory

Mine is basically the same, uses fewer bolts but after that RTV sets up you could remove all the bolts and it ain't going anywhere
