pressure plate completly flat
are pressure plates supposed to be completly flat..? laying a flat edge across the surface shows a flat surface from outer edge to about 3/4 in and then tapers off to the inside. taper is consistant around the plate at about .011 and disc shows the wear pattern that would be expected from that.

Ive never heard of them needing a taper. Is it an after market high performance clutch?

Needs to be flat, not really sure how the taper started. Possibly not machined correctly when new.
