So what about that mid track plane of whatever it was the 472 had, all that go away? I will go out on a limb, and ass/ume it did.
How high does the torque convertor flash now?

I'm setting up to run bracket class so I had 2 step launch down 3k to 3200 vs 4200 we use on .400 pro tree in past
I honestly feel the old motor planned out earlier due prob running out of cam at some point . I'm not sure no complaints of old combo though . I was doing my nhra license runs today and I shifted at 6200 at the 9.36 pass
I'm going to be pulling the old cam from the old block , it's still in great shape and I have all lifters in a wooden box labeled and made recessed holes to hold them in order to go on what cam lobe . If you or someone else on here would like to have it and would just pay the shipping I would donate it an dpay it forward . I have cam card as well

Went through at 7k rpm
5.96 1/8th mile
You certainly hit you mark, right between 9.30 and 9.40.
Great job.
Thanks I appreciate it felt great
Only thing that worried me was after a pass oil is hot if it idles at 1200 rpm oil pressure is in the
Mid 30s but as soon as I touch throttle it goes to 55 to 60 . Has kaase pump and probably nothing to worry about just saw that
Like 35 at hot oil 1200
Say 55 to 60 at 2k on up
Is the block filled?

Great numbers there. Glad you are back on the track. Got it below 9.50 mark time to look for 8 second time slip!!! Nice build.

Nice that should be at least 9.20's in the 1/4!! It was also cold here in Northeast,Ohio today it didn't get up to 50 until later in the day.I cut the grass in the morning and it was only in the low 40's and my nose was running!!

Re: Motor is going on dyno next week want to guess the Hp
So i checked lash before last race and looked good . I want to get a interval schedule down like plugs and oil and lash
with my cam
Cam is a kaase k1 low lift
.731/.727 lift
109 separation
Duration at .050 272 and 280
I have Harland sharp stud mounts with jomar girdles ( i wish i went shafts ) as I'm sure overall would be more stable
how often should i be checking lash ? This is my first solid roller if it matters i go through traps at 7k rpm
Thnaks

If the lash changes more than a thou or so, something is wearing out.
There is no set intervals so, just whenever you can take the covers off to check the springs once in a while.
