need help id on small block piston
Hey all. My brothey and I have been searching to find out if the l3009n is a 302 or 351 piston. Can't find much of anything. One says 302 but work with 3.85 stroke 351w to make 377. Someone else saya 351w. Have found nothing solid on internet. And guy that has them either can't don't know how. Or just will not measure the compr heigth. I am just tryn to help my little bro. measure the wrist pin top of piston center and a 302 should be 1.60 a 351 should be more like 1.740

Do you have any pics and is that last letter a N or a F ? Badger piston makes a PT# L3009F that fits a 351W. Don't know if this helps any!

Clyde, just so you know, 302 piston+351w rod+3.850 crank= 393 cubic inch!! I've built 2, and they are a riot.
I got nothing to offer on the piston ID though, good luck.

Clyde probably a good idea if he doesn't know what they fit then I wouldn't buy to find out they have no use for you.....

If I may?
...... ask what engine displacement, rotating assembly and application your project seeks?

351w 4.030 bore forged flat tops. He is on a tight budget. And those were 150 and supposed to be new. You know how that goes. I advised him to find the specs to be sure and that's when things got complicated. Lol.
