Looking a lot better (badass to me), the way it is now should also help me hook a lot better as well.

Justin looking good if you want to shine the grill up the best thing I have found and easiest to clean and shine up the grill is SOS pads with the blue soap in them.

Re: Let the 466 mayhem begin...
Thanks guys
As far as the grill I plan on painting that when I do everything else. But because you can't buy them, it's aluminum, and rare to find a near perfect one I'd feel bad about doing that For now I want to polish it a little, I'll try the sos pad after I do a lil more sanding with a finer grit (I fixed a couple dents)
The tires I went with ended up being 315/60-r15's which comes out to be 30x13". Fits exactly like I wanted it to, filling up the wheel wells looking like they are stuffed in there. And they kinda are, it wasn't easy to get them back off They are pretty close to the lip, I don't know if I'll roll the lip yet.

They are 10" prostars with a 6.5" backspacing, I bought them from a guy with a mustang. But I will double check that for you, let me know if you want any other pictures of fitment/clearance

Shot a quick video of it after tacking the exhaust in place. It will all come off for the race, then I will fully weld it, paint the welds, and properly hang it. OH! And I made an awesome discovery last week that I wasn't getting even close to full throttle. So it has more power than I thought

Not sure on drop beams yet, I may wait it out for a while then do a mustang II or crown vic swap. But I'm not ready for that project I am going to call calvert and see about a set of caltracs, I got a little wheel hop the other day and I know I've been wanting caltracs anyways. It seems like many people swear by them. I also saw pictures of your caltracs while searching for a setup like mine with them.
Thanks guys, she's slowly getting there. But being able to see it, hear it, and drive it like it is now really motivates me I'm at least 3/4 of the way through with my roll bar setup. I think I may need to buy new side bar's. I'm fine with where they are but I think tech may throw a fit about it. They are below my elbow with my hands on each side of the steering wheel. I don't need a roll bar right now but I'd rather not have to cut this apart and re do it down the road because I did it wrong. Other than that I like the way I fitted everything else. I just wish I had a TIG to get in some of those corners, and to lay out some nice stacked dimes. Oh and by the way, I've already had a couple people underestimate it because of the exterior looks Had some guys checking it out when I was doing some street tests, pulls a lot harder than I thought it would

Re: Let the 466 mayhem begin...
Crown Vic fronts seem cool but I have zero problems with the beams. And since you modified your spindles to accept the 80s 5x4.5 rotors your way ahead of the game. Would be cool to sell a set up like that.
My daily driver f150 has been 13.43 with leafs and no traction bars fwiw. Caltracs are a good choice though and work good with the flip kit and more power down the road. I'd say your combo should net you bottom 13s and 12s with a few changes.

Re: Let the 466 mayhem begin...
I was going to have a place plasma/water jet cut the plates and I was going to bundle all the needed items to make it work. But like my dad brought up, if someone gets into an accident with those on it, I could be in deep you know what. But I was told to get a LLC with a bigger company. Believe me, fabricating custom stuff and selling it is what I want to do.
As far as the caltracs, what can you adjust? I was told by people they are "fully adjustable". Does that include pinion angle, and instant center? I know I can adjust preload, and how much can you really adjust with two front holes and a slide-a-link that the caltracs have?

Re: Let the 466 mayhem begin...
You can adjust the instant center by switching between the top and bottom holes and you can set how much force is applied to the spring by loosening or tightening the bar against the spring. No way to change the pinion angle though that can only be done with shims on a leaf spring car/truck.
For the brake kit maybe just make the plate for the caliper and list what parts are needed so you wouldn't be liable. My rotors are redrilled for 5x4.5 but my uncle has a 72 F100 that would be interested and a lot of others would like drag wheels too for 67-79 trucks. Only down size is those rotors are tiny. I tried fitting them on my 79 disc brake spindles and they looked like mustang rotors lol.

Re: Let the 466 mayhem begin...
I was getting ready to order caltracs possibly, but then for the heck of it I stuck the gopro on the frame pointed at the pinion. I took it for a drive, kind of stepped on it but never did a full launch. WOW what an eye opener That axle was moving SO much, I can't believe I didn't break a u joint!!! I ordered up caltracs, I may have to shim the axle to change the pinion angle but it depends on how well the caltracs work. I don't know why the axle is moving so much, maybe I need to tighten my u bolts more? I'll check them tomorrow, I never used a torque wrench. Maybe its just because the amount of power vs the strength of the leafs? I bet I was losing a good amount of power to the wheels just because of this issue, if you saw how much it moved your jaw would drop

Re: Let the 466 mayhem begin...
weak leaf springs will make it do that that the reason I changed mine out back when I had the 351c in it, the old traction bars helps some but you just putting a band aid on the problem with them
