Congrats Bobby Small for a runnerup finish

in the Jegs SuperQuick 32 race at Chandler, IN (Greater Evansville Raceway). The margin of victory at the finish line was .003 with Jeff Brown out of Ohio taking the win.

Guys it was another tough night of racing in the NHRA Jegs Series with the top 3 in points, including Kristina, all going out in the first round. After the second round the top 7 in points were all gone. We had three Fords in the show, Bobby Small (who ran three 4.49's in a row at the Ford Bash and won the low e.t. award), then Scott Carman, and Kristina Lawyer. They all qualified with mid 4.50's on a very hot 98* and muggy day.

Bobby has a Pro-Filer headed 638 Ford engine built by Uncle Lawes Mayfield, in his 2009 American Racecars dragster that he bought from Phillip Oakley. He ran a string of 4.55,4.54,4.53,4.52 e.t.s as the day turned into night and the greasy track got better. He should be in good shape points wise and the traveling circuit goes to Charleston, IL and races at Coles County next weekend. Then in Sept they will go to Pacemakers Dragway in Mt. Vernon, OH. After that the finals will be at Indy in early October. Congrats Bobby

I'm truly surprised Kristina was eliminated so early, although I do applaud Bobby and his efforts for his final round appearance! Couldn't have happen to a nicer guy! Congratulations Bobby.

Yes they do. Those cars that do not qualify for the Jegs Quick 32, automatically drop down and run in Super Pro. Furthermore, because they run round one of the Jegs Quick 32 first,,,then the first round losers of the Quick 32 have the option of buying a Super Pro entry ticket and racing in Super Pro. Then most of the tracks also run their regular Pro, Trophy, Jr. dragster, and/or Motorcyle program.
