Opinions or advice wanted

Ok have been trying to port my own heads and have so far made three boat anchors. I'm giving up and going to buy some heads, the SCJ's that Lem has are a good deal but not sure. Its a 466, 24cc dish pistons that are 0.010 in the hole. The motor is going into my 95 F150 that I want to be a 500 hp street cruiser with maybe the occasional blast down the track. The idea behind me porting my own heads was to save money but with my track record I am not gonna save anything. I know the Tfs streets or Eddys would maybe a better fit? I just like the idea of it being as much Ford as possible but not sure. I originally wanted to get aluminum but went with cast iron cause I had the doves off the free motor and thought I could port them myself I havent bought a cam or headers yet but I do have a Performer RPM manifold and Holley 750. Just want some advice and or opinions before I go to the wife and tell her I'm gonna spend yet more money.

id go for the scj's and a small cam... something like the lunati 61602 or 61603... either should clear without having new notches in the pistons
oh and .032 head gaskets for good quench

I was thinking if I get the SCJ's I would get a cam from Lem at the same time. Thanks for the ideas.

that's how John Wayne would have done it...............

I'd call Charlie and see if he knows of someone looking to move up, that might have a set of nicely worked heads that will put on the shelf.

Thats how Clint Eastwood would do it.
