Re: Jim's Little 460 AND 2000 RANGER
I got everything back on not to finished up tonight just need to give it a good cleaning when the weather clears up some. Then get it across the scales and see how heavy it is now and how much weight it loss. Then try to get it to the track for some TNT maybe by the 1st of next month.

Yes it is but the cleaning part is what I hate the most trying to get all the stuff out of the cracks and hard to get to places from all the cutting and grinding from the taking the old steering column

Re: Jim's Little 460 AND 2000 RANGER
I am hoping I drop it to around 2900 with me in it so around 200 to 250 off it I hope. I going to get it to work and check it they just came last week and check the scales at work so they should be dead on. Would have carried it this week but we been getting afternoon showers and looks like it will be the same way next week from what the weather man been saying. So I might have to drive it down to the peanut place about 1/4 mile from the house and pull across their scales.

Awesome Build! Nice to have scales that are only 8 seconds away for your truck69F100 wrote:I am hoping I drop it to around 2900 with me in it so around 200 to 250 off it I hope. Doc told me everything looked fine I ask him so I can go back to the track he said go for it but if I felt anything unusual in my eye don't make any more passes until my next 3 week check up. So I am heading to the track Friday night for some TNT to see how all the changes helped it and how it runs now.

Well changing the fuel system out going to a toilet from the carb, with all the sickness and deaths in the family this year hasn't left anytime for the truck. Worked on my F350 redoing it the 1st of the year then my sister in-law passed away then stepbrother passed away and then my stepdad started having heart trouble. Been helping my Mama and stepdad and the truck has been pushed aside for most part of this year hoping to get to the track before end of the year. I am in the progress getting the Ron's Toilet mocked up then pull the intake and carry it up to Keith he going to fix the intake for the injectors.

So sad to hear that Jim.
All of us must be careful about our self... but most of time we are lazy or afraid to check our health.

You have been as strong as iron for your Family with all the difficulties, and tragedies this year, brighter times are in your horizon... it's time for you to rely on the strength of the truck you built, as together you will be even stronger! Get'r done and go do some much deserved racing.

Re: Jim's Little 460 AND 2000 RANGER
Plus my wife just had what the Dr. calls a light heart attack Tuesday night spent a day in the hospital she doing better now plus she got to have surgery on the veins in her legs next month 9-17-15. Think she may have had a blood clot from one of the veins in her leg brake loose and go thro her hart. So it looking like the Doc will get all the extra money for a while but family is way more important than the truck and going racing. We can do that later after we get her back to good health, she stays in pain with her legs right now. Hoping the surgery will fix that and she gets where she can stay on her feet longer without pain.

Re: Jim's Little 460 AND 2000 RANGER
Finally got around to getting everything finished and it fired back up. 1st time out of the yard since I put the new frontend under everything felt good. Steered great, brakes work great, got on it good then hit the brakes hard the bump steer felt good. Toilet is a hold different feel for sure a lot more responsive did leave some track out on the road straight no pulling one way or the other. Now if I ever get time to get it back to the track for some tnt I think it will run some high 5s.

Well looks like I will pull the truck out of the trailer and do the winter prep on it the next weekend I have off. To many health problem in my family to worry about trying to get to the track this year. My youngest Daughter has some kidney problems will be taking her back and forth to Atlanta to Emery University until the end of Nov. as it is right now. My wife has another leg surgery on 11-12 so I will put the truck away and pray for a better year next year. Try again next spring to go to the track and see how it does after the changes and see if I can get some high 5s out of it.
