All Ford Event@ Byron Dragway, Byron, IL
I am in the works setting up an all Ford race at Byron Dragway. Right now I am looking at July 10th as the day for the event.
$30 Street: 13.00 and slower
$50 Pro: 12.99-quicker "no box class"
$50 Super Pro: 10.00-faster "box"
$65 10.5 tire non power-adder heads up race
$65 10.5 tire power adder heads up race
$65 Big Tire heads up: Any Ford powered vehicle with a tire width wider than 10.5"
Heads up classes will be run on a Pro-Tree.
Pay out will depend on entries in each class.
If you race in more than one class you must pay entry fee for each class you race in.
Those are the proposed entry fees listed.
I am gonna check with local Ford dealerships and see about getting some sponsorship maybe some Ford Racing apparel to the winners. Not sure though in this economy.
I will confirm the date with Ron and BJ and will post if this will for sure be the date,

What is the reasoning behind the 10.00 cutoff in Pro? It counts me out

Are you running faster than 10.00 without a delay box? The reasoning was an assumption that 99% of the guys running 9.99 or faster are running delay boxes. Just trying to set up fair classes. Feel free to email me bigblok86gt@yahoo.com. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, I am trying to make things fair and have the best turn-out possible although I realize I can't taylor to everyone. The top three classes are bracket classes.

Are you both bracket racers? Things are not set in stone yet so they can be changed. The more feedback I get the better it will be. I have this posted on the other site and feedback is limited, this is the first event I have planned but I want to make it as attractive as possible for all of us.
I am also looking for a possible cameraman!

I run high 8's No Box at NMRA columbus last year and plan on going faster this year. But,I really don't understand why there would be a cut off just because of low ET,because most of the Box guy's won't pull there boxes anyway to run non delay.

^ What he said ^
I bracket race and run Open Comp so no delay box allowed in my car.
That being said, I'm not sure I could make this event and since I can't carry a sidearm through Illinois, not sure I'd want to go anyway
But it does sound like a fun event and I wish you the best of luck.

It is in Byron, IL close to the nuclear power plant pretty decent grounds and good track and great atmosphere. Ron Leek and BJ are great guys and keep things family oriented and respectful.
