Yea, it took them about a year to get the permits OK'd to do this, public trying to stop them. The day after they got the permits, they started clearing the land. One track opening, another trying to be closed down, about 2 weeks ago, the battle over Pacific Raceways in Kent (Seattle) is heating up again, Evil or Very Mad

About 5 or so years ago, they finally succeded in closing down Spanaway Speedway, now there is housing where the track was.

Why is it that people knowingly move into these houses with tracks nearby yet complain a week later when they hear some noise? I bet those people wouldn't be complaining if they built a new shopping mall nearby.

I've been to Pacific Raceways. It's pretty far out there and while it does have some houses right next door the track was there first. Seems to me if the homeowners want to blame someone they can blame themselves for buying a home near a racetrack that existed before a developer built their house. People need to stop blaming others and learn some damn personal responsibility. Quit thinking that just because you don't like something that you can make it go away.

It always seems to be women that start the complaining, they buy a house then get buyers remorse and want to blame the track for their unhappiness. Evil or Very Mad
