limits of 10 pound bottle/ Improvment with 15lb bottle/ Bottle Holder

Post  studly on July 21st 2011, 9:07 am

Just wonder the limits of a 10 pound bottle. and number 6 line

1. trash can noids and are spraying 42n pills in a Direct Port system.
2. Change bottle every pass on 10 pound

would a 15lb bottle and 8 an line

1. be worth the extra weight?
2. still need to change every pass?

this is 1/8 mile racing 5.0-5.20 passes
using 3.50to 4.0lbs a pass now
only filling 10lb bottle with 9lbs bottle pressure 850-900

2nd question

If i use 15lbs i will need to stand up for room, do you have to change the siphon tube?

2 10# ers tied together into a -6 is the norm around here.................

................I aint no nitrous expert but this set up seems to work, would be a little more weight over a single 15#.

If your only using a single 10 now, you should benifit from going to the 15. First thing you should notice is less pressure drop and pick up 1-3 MPH in many cases.

You may be able to make two passes, just a trial and error type deal..

Also going to a -8 line would help too when running a jet that big. As for the bottle and valve, you can stand up without changing the valve, just point to rear of car.. If you want to really minimize pressure drop, go to a 15# bottle, -8 line, and this valve...

Hope this helps.. SJ

That's one bad-ass lookin bottle valve. Twisted Evil

I'm guessing it's a 1/4 turn ball type valve?

Yes, they are a 1/4 turn style valve (from N-S) with a 1/2 diameter tube and valve. They are around $200.00 each as well.. Thanks, SJ
