Strange incident at NHRA California Empty Strange incident at NHRA California

As one of those four wheelers was pushing Melanie Troxel off the track, the engine re-fired and she crashes through a fence and in to the Sportmans area and nails the side of a trailer. You have to see this on ESPN2 tonight a 7:00 affraid

I'm not sure but I think the nitro guys are still using some form of a pneumatic "cannon" to control throw out bearing movement above idle speeds (to control clutch slippage/lock-up during the pass). If they slipped the clutch too much & "fried" it during the pass (disks & floaters welded together) the engine would be turning over as they pushed her off the track. And any remaining fuel in the system (after the cut-off valve) could have just re-fired the engine as it turned over.
