tuning questions

Post  bruno on November 15th 2011, 6:56 am

well here are all three passes from sunday

pass #1

82n 73 fuel , 5.5 fp @ 20*

1.277
3.616
5.549
125.10

pass# 2

same tune but @ 22*

1.235
3.531
5.440
128.84

pass#

same tune but @ 24*

1.249
3.552
5.456
128.86

so the 22* seemed the happiest , but the plugs were still rich my questions are :

1- what timing should i start to take fuel out ?

2- if i take fuel out of the 20* will it pick up more then running rich @ the 22* ?

3- once the plate is dialed in what #s should i be shooting for/ goals ?

4- and then finally once i get the plate dialed in closer what is it going to take on the fogger to run low 5's ?

I would take fuel out of the 20degree setup and work the timing up from there.

Bring that thing to Texas and I will take out 300+ lbs out of that thing without changing the outside appearance.

With those numbers the 22 looked pretty good. But also knowing it could use less fuel, I would go back down to the 20 and maybe add .004 to the nitrous side jet and go from there..

You are going to have to watch the plugs as well to really learn what your combo wants.. Wink Thanks, SJ

What fuel are you guys running with nitrous? C16? I run Q16 on motor only but was told to switch from that when I start spraying.
