AFR BBF new head

From a marketing perspective, I would say yes.

IMO AFR missed a huge opportunity to grab all those guys that would love to have a head with the capability of a P51, but do not want to tear the whole motor damn apart to do so.  Instead of differentiating their target market from the competition, they chose to target the exact same specialized group.  The problem is compounded by their decision to change the port shape and develop their own intake.    

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see more choices for good BBF heads.  Unfortunately for AFR, the vast majority of us are unable to take advantage of that additional choice.

I don't know much about designing a cylinder head but if you design a head with the same port architecture and valve layout of what already out there than what is there to gain. The AFR head will have to out perform, be priced right and be available to sell IMO. It is just to new speculate.
