Fuel pressure guage

What makes a FP guage needle jump all over the place 
It's not the guage because i've had 3 diff. ones on it and they all do the same thing. I have a 250gph pump w/return line to tank

crap in the reg or the spring in the reg is takeing a dive. Is it doing in when the car is running ? are you seeing a volt spike at the pump?

IS IT MOUNTED SOLID ? IF SO LET IT HANG - I WENT THROUGH 4 FUEL GAUGES -UNTIL I FOUND OUT IT WAS VIBRATING FROM THE MOTOR
