Well not really but a ZL1 went up against a newer Mustang V6. More than three times the V6 stang beat the ZL1 to the 1/8th line but not in the quarter. Times were 13.5 to 13.7 the stang only had a performance tune and a cat back system.

When I had my 2 t-birds 1 1991 v6 and 1 1992 5.0 my v6 would beat the 5.0 ho bird on take off but top end the 5.0 would leave the v6

the v6 will surprise you for sure out of the hole
