29" tire clearance Empty 29" tire clearance

Post  tconnection August 27th 2014, 12:00 am

Im needing some help getting tire clearance. I have dda uppers and lowers, mimi tub, m9 cut down 2 or 21/2''. I have mt slicks 29 10.5 on 12'' rims. The tire is really close to the bottom front part of the fender. I have used the lowers to get the housing back but it seems like im running out of adjustment. I havent took it off the jack stands yet but would setting it down off the stands push the tire back?
Thanks for any info

If you do not have the weight on the axle with the jack stands and the control arm is angled up to the body from the rear end (rearend free hanging) then yes it will move back some.

I had my control arms built half an inch longer for just that reason. I can still adjust them down to stock length but it is pretty common to have to move the rear back to center the tire when you push the limit on tire size.
