being from mass i will say you go north its a different world up there , my mother is orig from central Maine . my relatives that are up .... i will just say they are different

me personally im 30 min outside of boston towards coast and 25 min from cape cod

Yes I've been their..... It is its own breed..... But it's definitely not "hillbilly" as in West Virginia or Arkansas

I don't miss those winters up there. Ship was home ported in Newport, RI, 6 months in Charlestown shipyard in Boston, and spent one Christmas in Fort Kent, Maine with a shipmate. You can't get any further north than that in the US unless your in Alaska. Damn that was cold, burrrrrrrrrr, no place for a Georgia Boy.

24" of snow, big deal we had that in 12hrs one day last winter LOL I plowed this shit before I left for work and I came home to my driveway filled in again 8hrs later. I'm glad I took my plow truck to work that day. I had to plow my way out of the subdivision just to get to the local plow shed as I couldn't get to my work 35km away. I'm the charge-hand in the main shop at the biggest D.O.T mechanical branch in the province...We fix snow plows 365 days a year.

You guys would be laughing your asses off if I came down south in the summer. We went to the Pepsi 400 in July in 2001, I thought I was going to die from the heat LOL....Almost passed out watching the practice session at Daytona at 11am. The wife could see I was getting loopy and took me under the bleachers.

I remember Adney's dad in Maine telling one of his snow plowing stories.  The story goes that he was plowing deep snow on a completely covered road when the person sitting next to him told him the telephone poles on that road were on the other side.
