Sounds like the Zf5 dual mass flywheel rattle to me, Some will rattle forever like that and some let go at the worst possible moment. Here's a great deal of info for you. http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?t=33422&highlight=dual+mass+flywheel Search dual mass flywheel over at OB for days of enlightenment. Wink

Jimmy go ahead and get a new slave cyclinder and master cyclinder why you have it down most of the time if they are old and you put the new pressure plate on them they go out not long after that learn that the hard way back when I worked with Tony Aycock and his Dad on the 10 wheelers. Layed on the side of the road in the rain in Lumber City putting a slave cyclinder that should have been put in with the clutch.

I put the kit in you mentioned and I have a question. I have more noise and vibration now which is I feel is normal. Are the fly wheels balanced? I seem to have a vibration around 2200 rpm with a 7.3 - 5 speed. Goes away after I speed up.
The kit works great besides the additional noise.

Thanks

Its normal.

Its gear rollover your hearing. The dmf is much better at dampening the rollover noise out.
