Well, guys alittle update. Ran another personal best at the JEGS norther SPORTSnationals. We slipped in a qualified 32 with a 7.22 @ 190.8. Still running just on the motor. That was launching @ 5800 and shifting @ 7900. We are looking forward to one more race this year (a quick 32 race at pacemakers) then a nice off season to look at our options for more power to make qualify less nerve racking. Thanks to everyone for the kind word.

And thanks again to Ken and Dan and the Advanced Chassis guys, Tony and all the BES guys, Kenny for this great trailer, and marty with neal chance. we wouldn't be where we are without all the help!

Well, getting ready for our first full season in divison 3 here we've started a weight loss program for both me and the car. We saved 34 lbs going to 2 light weight batteries, 15 lbs removing the nitrous systems we weren't using, and i've lost about 20 lbs (and shooting for 20 more) i weighed 260 when i started and i just got below 240 last week. Not sure how crazy i'm going to get with it yet, but i've still got the 2 nitrous fuel regs to take off, and the wiring panel is out getting updated, so i haven't been able to weight the nitrous side of that. We've got one stage and the purge that will go back on if we'd ever need it, but if we don't have any trouble qualifying we don't see any reason to put it back on.

Funny you should ask. We are on our way home from the last race of the year for us. It's been a great first season for us. We came into the weekend needing to win one round to take 3rd in the points and we went all the way to the semis. Had we won the event we could have take 2nd, but we broke a wheelie bar tube and were lucky to keep it off the wall.

Plans for the winter are side exit headers, adding back one stage of nitrous, and an engine rebuild.

Andy,

I met y'all at the Jeg's SuperQuick 32 race (Sept 11-12 ) last year at Pacemakers Dragway and fell in love with the car then. Then again this year at Beech Bend Div 3 race and this past weekend at the Doorslammers Nationals. I'm with the poppy red T/S Mustang that Mark McDonald races and we were pitted across from you all. Jack Austin (Mark's car owner) had a nice visit with you and your family. Our sincere congratulations on a fine thrid place finish in the NHRA Div 3 Top Sportsman class. Very Happy

Thanks again everyone.

It was nice too meet you charlie, i didn't put 2 and 2 together until just now. i knew i recognized your name from somewhere. We had a nice chat with jack, it's always good to talk to other ford guys. there aren't too many of us running top sportsman.

I don't have too many pictures yet, but everything is fixed on the car and they started working on the headers friday so it should be ready to pick up this friday or saturday. after the car get back i'll be finishing putting the 1st stage back on and then sometime in november the engine is going back up to bischoff to get a rebuild. The motor worked flawlessly for well over 80 low 7 second runs, i think we we're getting pretty darn close to 100.

This is from chicago where we ran our fastest pass ever 7.10 @ 194 and DNQed, but got into the field as an alternate and lost 2nd round.

This is when we found out my baby boy loves race cars as much as his dad.

That same weekend we won the event at mid michigan.

And here's what the wheelie bars looked like after louisville(they are fixed now).

I'll get some picks up of the headers, new wheelie bars, and the nitrous/engine once we get the car back.

Here's all the update pics I have for now. I'll post some wheelie bar pics once I get the repairs painted. We took the motor and trans out this week. The motor goes to BES the second weekend of November.
