what upgrades to an 8.8 with a 600 hp engine

If I used an 8.8 in a fox mustang with a 600 hp bbf, what would I have to do to it?

weld the tubes
aftermarket axles
good spool or locker
c-clip eliminators
rear cover (girdle-used to preload)
a couple of braces from the front of the housing to the axle tube ends.(pics on the net)

Straiten the housing in a Jig before you weld it........

Replace the rear cover with a Girdle also....... They work on the 8.8 rear.

whats the best weld type for the tubes? rod or wire? thanks bobn

I've done both but prefer wire or tig now.
