T-BIRD MASTER CYLINDER

Post  70429scj on July 8th 2010, 4:06 am

Need to know what master cylinder to use when converting from power disc/drum to manual disc/drum on my 88 bird.
Thanks,
Steve

Hey, I figgered I would answer here.

They should be the same as the early Fox Mustangs. I think you can use the regular disk/drum master, the most important thing with the manual conversion is the push rod pivot point. It should be moved for better machanical advantage. The manual conversion kits show you where to mount it I believe.

I used a power booster from a Cobra Fox Mustang, it is small enough to fit with the BBF. I wish I would have went manual though.....

I'm using the Aerospace kit on my Mustang it worked good. You will have to go with a different style brake switch and modify the brake pedal but they give you directions.

Later Mark.
