Powerglide trans cross member

Powerglide trans cross member Empty Powerglide trans cross member

I have a 89 miustang with a 429 and a turbo 400 and a Ford motorsport cross member. I am switching to a glide what do you guys recomend to use for the cross member?

i used the factory double hump cross member and welded a 1/4 inch piece of plate about 4 inches longer and drilled the two holes used the factory rubber power glide trans mount

used the factory crossmember many times. actually if your motor placement is right you can bolt the glide tranny mount in the factory location. we use mounts for a Chevy II with a glide from 63-64. but most people I see do what is stated above and add the additional plate.

Does the engine have motor mounts or use a front and mid plate?

i used motor plates and mid plates, just to get the motor to set where i wanted it to and give additional header clearance, and set the motor a little lower and a little further back in the car than factory.
