Are strightcut gears good,an also is a 3500 stall torque converter good for a blown motor?

JR starit cut gears are good but no one can tell you what converter to use till you get your engine done and have most of the specks.. Car weight... tire size.. carb... everything you can think of....

What are you gonna' use that blown motor for? Street/Strip?
If it's a street set-up, you would be fine with a helical-cut set but,
if you plan on taking it to the strip, and especially if you plan on using a trans-brake, straight-cuts are the only way to go, IMO.
The helical sets will last for a while but, eventually you will break it.

Edit-I just saw your thread about the procharger deal...I'd definately take a look at a straight-cut set.

the car will most likely weight 3200lb,tire 33x10.5,fuel injection.
