stroker motors and stock flywheel

Post  duff429 on July 22nd 2010, 4:19 am

When does a stroker motor require a aftermarket steel flywheel? RPM? Would it be best for me to sell my stock cast 429 flywheel from my cyclone and get a steel one no matter how big I build a engine?

Its not a bad idea to get a Billet Steel Flywheel for any application beyond stock.

The stock stuff is fine for lower RPM / Daily Driver stuff. but when you start spinning them 40+ year old used stuff is not the best thing to have next to your feet.
